Welcome to another year of rose growing! We are trying some innovations this year hoping it will be a little easier for members to attend the meetings. There will be no meetings in February, June when we have the rose show or September when many will be attending the national. Three meetings in addition to our annual banquet will be held in restaurants in different parts of town. All other meetings will be held in yards. We hope this will increase the attendance. Remember that visitors are always welcome.

Some of our members are unable to drive at night. Tom Williamson hopes to find transportation for some of these people. Let him know if you need a ride.

Elsewhere in this newspaper you will find a registration form for the spring district meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting. Our own Bill Carlson is the new District Director, and it would be nice to have a good show of support for him. Our fall district meeting held in September will be combined with the National Rose Show in St. Louis. This will be a great opportunity for all of us.
