Last month several Indianapolis Rose Society members enjoyed Linda Kimmel's presentation on shrub roses at the south side MCL Cafeteria. Join us for the next program at Mark and Kathy Nolen's where you will have a chance to learn about pruning and other garden chores.

There are several opportunities to participate in activities this year. In addition to our June rose show we will have a booth at the Indiana State Fair and one at the Orchard in Bloom garden show. Society members will be asked to "sign up" for both events. Don't forget to order your shrub roses from Linda Kimmel and your miniature roses from Barbara Stauch. Order forms for both kinds of roses are included in this month's newsletter. We will also be selling fertilizer again. If you haven't tried this organic fertilizer mixed by some of our own members, I suggest you try it.

There is an error in this year's membership directory. Candice Haase is in charge of publicity for our organization in addition to sharing responsibility for our website with her husband, Brandon. Please make this correction in your Membership Directory.

The ARS website has been reorganized. Go to www.ars.org and check out the new features. If you are giving a rose program this summer, you may want to go to the  Members Only section to check out the new power point programs to download. You may also want to go to www.goodearthrosecare.com which is a new ARS organic rose care website.
